While parking can be a challenge in the area, many restaurants offer valet services with convenient parking options. If you prefer to explore without a car, there are a couple of trolley stops serving the Gaslamp area and connecting it to the large free parking lots on the outskirts.
Although the waterfront was under construction during my visit, I could still feel the exciting and vibrant atmosphere of the area. It's definitely a must-visit spot in San Diego!
