If you're in Orvieto, you have to try Mezza luna! This restaurant offers the most delicious carbonara, even better than the ones in Rome and Lazio. The portion size is impressive, and the guanciale used is abundant. The cotoletta alla milanese, made with veal, melts in your mouth. The homemade french fries are also amazing, made from fresh potatoes. The owner is extremely kind and the prices are very low. Make sure to book a table in advance, as the restaurant has limited seating. You won't find better value for your money!
