Tebro

Delicious pastries and friendly service

Looking for a charming cafe in Spoleto? Look no further! Tebro is the place to be. Despite some staffing issues on the day of my visit, the staff was still kind and welcoming. The cafe has great potential, although it could use some maintenance work. But don't let that deter you from trying their mouthwatering pastries. The baba with cream is a must-try, perfect for a morning stroll through the historic alleys. The prices may be a bit high for a municipal cafe, but the quality of the pastries makes up for it. The cannoli and tartufi are exceptional, exceeding all expectations. And if you're a fan of fettuccine, their ragù and mushroom with truffle options won't disappoint. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the ricotta is always fresh. Don't forget to pair your meal with a glass of their delicious house wine. Come and experience the authentic flavors of Tebro!

Located in Spoleto, the Fontana del Mascherone is a fascinating 18th-century fountain with a stone face that spouts non-potable water. It's a mysterious landmark in the city, with its construction date unknown. The restoration in 1736 involved Pope Clement XII and the noble families of Spoleto. Don't miss the smaller fountain nearby with drinkable water, inviting every passerby to quench their thirst.
