Make sure to grab a map at the entrance because the park is so immense that you might miss out on some parts. Don't forget to check out the reptile house, although I couldn't visit it due to the high temperature and humidity inside. But hey, there's always next time!

One of the highlights of Artis is the reproduction of various environments, like the tropical forest, which allows the fauna to adapt better. Although some animals were missing, I had a great time overall, with a special mention to the chimpanzees.

Plan for at least 3 and a half hours to fully explore the zoo. It's a bit pricey, around €25 for adults and €21 for children, but totally worth it. And if you have the time, spend a whole day here to enjoy the beautiful gardens and the stunning tropical greenhouses with butterflies and bats.
