Discover the historic Porta Passiria in Merano, a medieval gateway that once controlled access to the city. This impressive structure features a pointed arch portal and three floors with a projecting roof. On the city side, you'll find a fresco with the coat of arms of Merano. Connected to the Polveriera Tower, remnants of the ancient walls are still visible.

Rated 4 stars by visitors, this ancient gateway is one of the four entrances to the city and dates back to the 13th century. It opens towards the Val Passiria, a popular route for merchants coming from Austria. Don't miss the picturesque walk along the Passirio River!
