Marvel at the incredible and extensive collection with detailed explanations in German and English. The museum is housed in a splendid palace that is worth a visit in itself. Even my three-year-old son had a blast and remained interested and enthusiastic for almost five hours straight. You could spend entire days here!
One of the most beautiful natural history museums in Europe, with an immense collection that deserves a prolonged visit. Highly recommended!
Personally, I consider it one of the best museums I have ever visited. I spent a whole day here because it takes time to admire all the pieces and exhibitions. The museum was built in the late 19th century to house the enormous collection of the Habsburgs, spanning various scientific fields. It is one of the largest museums in the world.
Our second visit after 4 years, intentionally stopping here. The selection of stones, especially precious ones, always fascinates me. The dinosaur remains area fascinates or scares the little ones, depending on the children. On the other hand, the area with stuffed animals intrigues all age groups. However, I recommend visiting on cloudy days. In the hot summer days, it can be very stuffy as it is a historic structure that cannot offer air conditioning. Otherwise, bring a mini portable fan and plenty of water, which can be refilled in the various bathrooms.
A wonderful place for animal lovers. The museum is well-structured, allowing you to visit all the rooms or take breaks at different points along the way. The presence of bathrooms on each floor and a bar facilitates the visit.
