Hey there! Looking for a unique museum experience? Look no further than Museo di Arte Sacra "A passo d'uomo" in Sabbioneta. This small museum is a hidden gem, with a beautiful botanical garden in the courtyard. You'll be amazed by the well-stocked rooms dedicated to religious processions and the charming nativity scene exhibition. Don't miss the delightful banquet hall too!
Make sure to grab the complete ticket for €10, which includes access to the museum, Palazzo Ducale, the synagogue, and the theater. It's definitely worth it!
Located in a Renaissance building next to the Church of the Assumption, this museum showcases a diverse collection of sacred objects, paintings, and historical documents. And don't forget to explore the botanical garden for a tranquil escape.
But here's the real highlight: Museo di Arte Sacra is the only place outside of Spain where you can admire the prestigious Order of the Golden Fleece. This small symbol of honor was granted by the emperor to his closest and bravest dignitaries, allowing them to keep their hats on in the presence of imperial majesties. It was owned by the crown and had to be returned after the owner's death. Only Vespasiano, due to his exceptional merits, was allowed to be buried with it. The accidental discovery of his remains a few decades ago now allows us to admire this unique artifact.
So, what are you waiting for? Embark on a journey through history and spirituality at Museo di Arte Sacra "A passo d'uomo"!
